Hirsch Vineyards

David Hirsch first bought land in 1978 and planted vines in 1980 which are today, the oldest Premium Pinot Noir of Sonoma Coast.

In 2002, after 22 years focusing on planting and farming, David decided to build a winery and make his own wine.

In 2011 David began converting the vineyards to biodynamic viticulture and by 2014, all 72 acres of vines as well as the gardens and orchards were fully under biodynamic practice.

His vision has always been to focus on the site; that important developments are the fruits of mistakes made with a serious attitude; and to never forget that we don’t know what we don’t know.
