Vineyard & Winemaking:
Production for the Rocket Chardonnay is selected from the best vineyard
parcels, our second release of the Rocket and we are thrilled with its evolution.
Driven elegant wine, displaying trademark Adelaide Hills natural acidity and
purity. Showing lime and melon laced with a saline nutty complexity and a fine
mineral Finish.
Sourced from two vineyards, one high in Piccadilly Valley at 560m from
35 year old I10V1 vines, directly below Mt Lofty summit. The other sourced
from Lobethal from 20 year old Bernard Clones 76 vines. Whole berry pressed,
wild ferment in very tight grain French barriques and Puncheons. 50%
malolactic ferment. 10 months Maturation, with over 50% new.
