Eden Valley

Eden Valley is an Australian Geographical Indication (AGI - similar to the European Designation of Origin system) wine region within the Barossa Wine Zone, north of Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. The Eden Valley is flanked on the west by the Barossa Valley Wine region and on the south by the Adelaide Hills. The region is best known for Riesling and Shiraz, which comprise over half the region's plantings, with Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon other key varietals in the region. Primarily due to higher elevation, the Eden Valley is cooler than the neighbouring Barossa Valley, which is a contributor to fragrant, floral Riesling styles and medium bodied, perfumed Shiraz.
