Maipo Valley

Its vines are privileged with a mild Mediterranean climate with dry, warm summers and cold, wet winters. The region features easterly vineyards located in the foothills of the Andes and westerly vineyards that reach the sandy soils of the Coastal Mountains. The main variety planted is Cabernet Sauvignon, characteristically complex with well-structured tannins. Other red varieties that thrive in the valley are Merlot, Syrah, and Carménère.
