Showcases a deep ruby color. The nose offers enticing aromas of red berries, particularly cherries, complemented by spicy notes of pepper and vanilla. On the palate, it delivers an explosion of flavors, supported by elegant tannins. The finish is long and saline, leaving a lingering impression. The vineyard consists of two plots with different exposures, planted between 1954 and 1980. With a total area of 2.5377 hectares, the vineyard benefits from a South/South-eastern exposure and clayey, soil dominated by limestone and high concentrations of oxidized iron components. Grapes are meticulously hand-harvested and sorted to ensure their integrity. Cold pre-fermentation is conducted for 4 to 6 days to extract phenolic components, and the grapes are fully destemmed before a 15-day maceration period with only pigeages. This leads to the concentration of tannins, perfumes, and color. Alcoholic fermentation occurs naturally with indigenous yeasts. After maceration, the free-run and press wines are aged separately for 13 months, exclusively in traditional Burgundian 228-liter barrels, with around 30% new barrels. French oak from Bourgogne, Allier, and Vosges forests is predominantly used. The wine spends an additional 3 months in tanks before bottling. ABV 13.5%
