This red wine possesses a deep and velvety red color. The intense nose reveals ripe small red berries, such as raspberries and blueberries, along with a seamlessly integrated oak influence. On the palate, it offers a remarkable intensity balanced with freshness. The vineyard, divided into four adjacent plots, was planted between 1970 and 2002, covering a total area of 3.089 hectares. It faces South/South-West with a concave slope and features dark-brown soil with chalky borders. Grapes are hand-harvested and sorted to ensure their integrity. Cold pre-fermentation occurs for 4 to 6 days to extract phenolic components, and the grapes are fully destemmed. Full maceration lasts for 15 days with regular pigeages, resulting in concentrated tannins, perfumes, and color. Alcoholic fermentation takes place naturally with indigenous yeasts. After maceration, the free-run and press wines are aged exclusively in traditional Burgundian 228-liter barrels for 16 months, with approximately 30% new barrels used. The wine then spends two months in stainless steel tanks before bottling. French oak from Bourgogne, Allier, and Vosges forests is predominantly used. ABV 13.5%
