Pauillac

The colour is dark with a beautiful intensity.The nose is fruity, refined, ripe and extremely expressive. On the palate, the wine is rounded and smooth, spicy and very aromatic. It evolves pleasurably towards a delicious finale with fine tannins. In Pauillac, Château Latour emphasizes the dominance of Cabernet Sauvignon, which represents 80% of the vineyard, followed by Merlot (18%) and Cabernet Franc/Petit Verdot (2%). The vinification process is meticulously controlled, starting with strict fruit selection, complete destemming, and separate tanks for each vineyard parcel. After a three-week maceration, malolactic fermentation takes place in vats before the wine designated as Château Latour is transferred to 100% new barrels for aging. The wine intended for Les Forts de Latour is aged in a combination of 50% new oak and 50% one-year-old barrels. ABV 13%
