Mercurey 1er Cru 'Les Champs Martin'

This wine displays aromas of green apple, gingerbread, caramelly oak, almond, chamomile, plum, and ripe black cherry. It has a soft mouthfeel with medium-weight mellow tannins and a fleshy texture. The finish is voluminous, creamy, and showcases a grainy aspect of the tannins. East exposure, gravelly brown limestone soils with loam-clay colluvium. Vineyard managed with two pruning methods. Manual harvest, cold maceration, followed by fermentation and maceration. Aging in barrels, with a portion of new barrels. Bottling without filtration. ABV 14%
