Aloxe Corton 'Les Vercots' 1er Cru

Tollot-Beaut's Les Vercots 1er Cru is a wine that exudes rustic charm and robustness. It showcases enticing aromas and flavors of red cherries, spice, and earth, accompanied by substantial weight and ripe tannins. The grapes used for Les Vercots come from a ten-year-old sélection massale, grown on deep soil with a significant limestone content. Situated mid-slope on the Corton hill and facing due south, the climat provides ideal conditions for the vines. The Pinot Noir grapes undergo mostly de-stemming before fermentation, allowing the fruit to shine. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 18 months in 50% new Burgundian pièce, enhancing its complexity and adding subtle oak nuances to the final product. ABV 13.5%
