Sancerre Blanc 'Le Paradis'

The 2020 Sancerre Le Paradis is a fine, crisp, and clear wine with a silky texture. It presents flavors of gooseberry, elderflower, and pear. The concentration of this Sancerre is excellent, and it finishes with a fine line. The Vacheron cousins, who own a 1-hectare plot in the Le Paradis vineyard, cultivate their vines on a steep south-facing slope with shallow limestone soils. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The wine is then aged for 12 months in older French barriques. It is bottled unfined and unfiltered. ABV 14%
