Qvevri Don Alfio

Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Alicante (Grenache). This wine exhibits enticing wild plum, bramble, and white flower aromas. Its palate boasts red and black cherry notes, intertwined with subtle spice and minerality. While young, it reveals an austere and ethereal character, supported by high acidity and refined dusty tannins. A wine of complexity, it promises to truly express its origin with bottle aging. Crafted from organically grown Nerello Mascalese grapes, hand-harvested from century-old bush vines on Mount Etna's northern slopes, it includes a field blend with Nerello Cappuccio and Alicante (Grenache). Fermented in Georgian qvevris and aged in wooden casks, it captures the volcanic soils' essence and tradition. ABV 13%
