This wine displays a dark ruby-red color with intense purple reflections. The nose is subtle and restrained, offering notes of ripe black fruit, particularly black cherry, and revealing underlying aromas of toasted tobacco and nutmeg. On the palate, it presents a rich and complex profile, with a broad and luscious texture that showcases a beautiful spiciness and juiciness. The finish is characterized by dense, ripe, and spicy tannins, adding depth and structure to the wine. The vineyard benefits from a very mature soil with brown topsoil and a subsoil consisting of large, fractured limestone blocks. With an east-facing sun exposure, the grapes enjoy optimal ripening conditions. The winemaking process includes handpicking the grapes into small crates, followed by meticulous sorting and complete destemming. The wine undergoes a 20-day maceration period in temperature-controlled open oak vats, with daily punch-downs during alcoholic fermentation. Complete malolactic fermentation takes place, and the wine is aged exclusively in oak barrels for a duration of 21 months. ABV 13.5%
