100% Pinot Meunier. This wine serves as the cornerstone of our fresh spring releases. A rare relative of Pinot Noir, sourced from a high-altitude vineyard in the Piccadilly Valley, it yields an elegant, light red style with notes of dark red cherry to raspberry, and a medium-bodied, Pinot Noir-like profile enhanced by upfront spice and fine tannins. The 2021 vintage, following a challenging 2020, proved exceptional due to even flowering and moderate temperatures, resulting in remarkable quantity and quality. Planted in 1996 at 525m altitude with a northwest aspect, the Pinot Meunier vines benefit from abundant sunshine, cool nights, and retained acidity. The winemaking involves wild ferments, 40% whole bunches, and maturation in barriques and puncheons, including 20% new Austrian Stockinger oak for 6 months.
