The 2018 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Clos de la Chatenière is a captivating wine with a vibrant bouquet of waxy citrus rind, yellow orchard fruit, honey, and toasty notes. It has a medium to full-bodied, round, and textural palate that is both layered and enveloping. The wine displays fine concentration and a long, saline finish. The vineyard is situated in a valley between St.-Aubin and Puligny, on a steep hill with shallow soil resting on hard limestone bedrock. The winemaking follows traditional methods, and the wines are aged in oak barrels, with a range of 0-15% new oak (averaging 10%), for 18-24 months before bottling. ABV13%
