It displays a bright and clear garnet color. The initial aroma reveals perfumed alcohol intertwined with red fruits. Subtle hints of sweet spices and candied orange emerge, along with a combination of red fruit jam and a peppery note reminiscent of green pepper. As is often the case with this soil, which is poor in nutrients, the overall profile is very delicate, refined, and noble. The palate follows suit, showcasing a subtle, mineral, refined, and elegant character. Caught between terroir and vintage, it balances a lively and energetic acidity with a sweetness reminiscent of gingerbread. In terms of flavor, there are notes of wood, spices, and crushed leaves, resembling tobacco, expressed in subtle touches. The finish is dominated by griotte cherry pit. Despite its seemingly minimalist appearance, it reveals a strong and determined character. The wine comes from a terroir characterized by clay-limestone soil. The vineyard is 57 years old and covers an area of 1.83 hectares, producing around 8,500 bottles. The grapes were harvested manually, ensuring their perfect health. The maceration process lasted for 18 days with two punch-downs performed daily. Following this, the wine was aged for a total of 21 months in oak barrels. ABV 13.5%
